Estate Merlot 2019 – Stellenbosch

Aged in small oak casks for 13 months, has softened the tannins and increased the complexity of the fruit. Black plum and hints of strawberry backed up by fine vanilla from the barrels. Superb with a good Italian lasagne. For extra complexity save a bottle or three to drink in 5 to 10 years from now.
