Lightly Oaked Chardonnay 2021 – Stellenbosch

The very first vintage of this noble cultivar. A collector’s piece. This lightly oaked wine has a complex nose with hints of peach and vanilla combined. Made to age this wine should last well over 15 years and gain in complexity of fruit. My favorite food pairing is with (yes a red meat) a roast leg of lamb with rosemary and thyme. Chardonnay has the wonderful ability to enhance the flavor of many foods.
